Pain relief

Anyone got any suggestions how to cope, with the acute bone and joint pain that comes from injections of Nivestim?

  • Hello Qwertyjohn
I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with this side effect from your injections. If you've not already done so then the best person to discuss this would be your Consultant or one of the team responsible for youre treatment.

Alternatively you're welcome to speak to one of our team of nurses on 0808 800 4040 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) who may be able to offer some advice.

    Best wishes,

  • Thanks for the reply. Spoke to the consultant this morning . He could only suggest paracetamol or ibuprofen- the injections are doing what there meant for so I will tolerate it.

  • Hi.

hope your feeling better. This pain is awful. I've

had two cycles of it. This works. An Indian method.
buy a wheatbag warm in microwave as you should.
add a few drops of clove oil on it. If too strong as it

is then add another like olive or almond oil into it.
then wherever it pains keep moving along don't put direct

into your skin it worked for me xx
