I am due to start chemotheraphy next Friday and really worried about losing my hair. I heard there was a place in Great Western Road Aberdeen that specialises in wigs. Does anyone know the name of the place?

When I had my Oncology appointment before starting chemo, my Oncologist wrote out a prescription for me for my wig and suggested a couple of hairdressers that they recommend. Sorry I can’t help you with the Aberdeen area but I’m sure there will be a few in the city. I’m in Fife.
I don't know of wigs in your area, but I saw the wig man today. He came to the hospital where I am being treated. I have had my first chemo 2 weeks ago and no hair loss. I've been told it usually happens on 2nd cycle. He put my mind at rest, he said as soon as the hair starts coming out go to his shop and he will cut it into a short pixie cut will order in a few wigs that I have chosen and fit for me. I am sure that your nurses will give you info. It makes the hair loss easier if you know what to expect. I also ordered a few scarf type turban hats from annabandana online.
I'm not looking forward to it, I look hardly my best after the treatment but hey ho it does grow back so it's not forever!!
