Hi I had a mastectomy with immediate reconstruction diagnosed as Triple positive therefore chemo and herceptin route.   I have one herceptin injection left to have these were given every third week over 12 months and I have had no problems, unlike the chemotherapy.  I am also taking anastrozole which unfortunately does have some side effects.   Obviously the choice is yours and the very best of luck should you decide to take an alternative route. 

I am also triple positive. I am still undergoing chemo alongside herceptin and perjenta.

what is your reason for refusing it?

it doesn't seem to have many side effects for me, from what I read, it is the only chance at fighting this type of cancer and not taking it you risk the cancer coming back more. Her2 is a reacurring cancer and not something to be messed about with

There are so many alternatives to cancer treatment.

ive done and am doing a lot of research into it and some have even refused chemo and the cancer has gone or been kept at bay.

People have also been diagnosed with a secondary cancer while undergoing herceptin treatment and also tamoxifen so it's not completely proven to do what what it's meant to do.

By all means choose not to have any sort of treatment if you are making an informed choice - it is your body and your choice. It may be that herceptin isn't needed in your case - that's a risk for you to choose.

However, I would urge anyone who is seriously thinking about going down a natural or alternative route to read this article first and if you still feel the same way afterwards go ahead, at least you have had the chance to read an alternative view. sciencebasedmedicine.org/.../

Too many people have died needlessly by falling for the false hope offered by the people selling uunproven alternative or natural therapies.

Complementary medicine is fine as it supplements conventional medicine but anyone who convinces people to opt out of evidence based treatments for an unproven alternative should be sued by their grieving relatives. 

Sorry if this sounds harsh - chemo can be horrible I know but the only people I've known to follow the route you're asking about are unable to answer your query.
