High dose chemo for lymphoma

Hey. So today I was told that I'm probably going to have high dose chemo with a stem cell transplant as my lymphoma is resistant to the previous chemotherapy course. I'm finding it difficult to find much information on this and was wondering if anyone has experience of this?

Thanks Lila xx

  • Hi Lila

I'm sorry to hear that your recent scans have shown that the treatment to date hasn't been successful.

The choice of chemo you're given will depend on a number of things but it's normal after high dose chemo to have a stem cell transplant. We've some information on our website here which you might find helpful. You might find this webpage helpful if you have any questions once you know what drugs/combination you're having.

If you'd like to speak to one of our nurses for some support and information then you're most welcome to call them. They are available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch Lila and let us know how you're getting on.
    Best wishes,
