I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with this side effect of your treatment again. Even though you don't have a rash it's important that you let your Oncologist know that you've started to itch again so please do give them a call tomorrow if you've not already done so.

Hi Sam. I too am having immunotherapy and I had a rash appear on my face and head but was given Antihistamines! And they have helped maybe speak to your nurse or Consultant. Hope this helps

I've spoken with a Doctor who will increase my daily steroid intake. I just wondered if anyone could recommend creams etc

Yes I do especially on my head I have some antihistamine tablets now they help me to at least get some sleep at nite. But thanks for the Advice oh and they gave some cream on my last session

I've been given Cetrizine antihistamine oral solution. Is this the one you use? I'm also struggling to sleep as I cannot have any sleeping tablets as this would interfere with the steroid.

I've been on those but haven't worked for me.

I'm on steroids prescribed my my oncologist and something called Cetrizine. Seem to take the edge off.

Difficult as it's all internal there's not much else that works I guess.

Hi. What cream did they give you and has it helped. I hope so as can only imagine the discomfort. My fiancé is going through the same thing. 

My husband has started immunotherapy just over two weeks ago for the recurrence of a melanoma that was initially removed 2.5 years ago.  He is on Ipilimumab andNivolumab every three weeks for four sessions then dropping down to Nivolumab every four weeks with regular PET scans.  The recent PET scan showed nothing suspicious anywhere other than cells around the abdominal wall area where the melanoma was removed.  He has developed "the itch" and is struggling at night, although once asleep he manages a few hours.  We have  Eurax cream and started on Piriton - he gets some relief from cold flannels in the night but only for a little while.  I've bought some Oilatum shower gel.  I have read that alcohol, red meat, dairy and sugar can make this worse - is there any credence to this.  I'm willing to try anything to make him more comfortable- he's usually a positive, active man but this is already getting him down
