My treatment

Hello,

I was diagnosed last May with stage 1 bc, had a lumpectomy, nodes were clear, had 15 sessions of radiotherapy and now on tamoxifen.

i was talking to other ladies who had had breast cancer, many of them are taking zoladex to stop their ovaries working. This has stressed me out a bit as I am 48 but still having regular periods. I asked my breast care nurse if I should be on this and she said not in my case as it's normally used to preserve fertility. I have noticed that my periods are much lighter but other than that I don't have any side effects.

im just wondering how many of you BC ladies are on the same treatment plan as me, I've got myself in a dither that I'm on the wrong treatment plan.

my surgeon is highly regarded and has been in his field for a long time so I don't doubt he knows what he's doing but I can't help wondering.

sorry long post, thanks for reading x
