What to expect post orchiectomy

Hi,

I'm booked for a radical orchiectomy next Thursday and am just wondering if anyone who has been through this procedure can give me some advice about how I'm likely feel and return to work etc. I'm a physio and ideally need to get back to work ASAP following the surgery. Will I need more than a week to recover?!? Also driving in the first week post op?

Any advice hugely appreciated,

    I just wanted to wish you good luck with your surgery next week. Hopefully some of our members who have had this done will share their advice and experiences with you soon but it may be worth using the 'search forum' option in the blue bar above to find previous discussions you can join in on about this. 

    Our cancer nurses are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on 0808 800 4040 if you'd like to have a quick chat with them as well.
