Thought I would start the hair loss by having a 20's bob next week (like Mary in Downton Abbey) I quite like my medium length hair but a few weeks of something new before it all falls out may be a change!

A 20s bob like Mary in Downton Abbey will look very classy I am sure! As you say, it will be a nice change to try something new.
You'll have to tell us whether you got some nice comments about it ;) I bet everyone will be calling you Mary :)
Best of luck with the start of your treatment! I hope it all goes well.

Hi Silver
I had long hair until May last year when I had a around of chemo x 6. Lost most of it when I was away staying at a hotel. Managed very well all summer wearing hats but later regretted not keeping the lost hair as I could have attached some to the underside hat rims but of course could not retrieve it from a hotel bin! I didn't go completely bald but had bald patches. I never believed it would re-grow but it is now an inch long. I got by so far this winter with soft acrylic bobble hats (nothing that itches) and my blonde bob wig. I got a thin cotton knitted hat from Maggie's, which was meant to be worn alone but I found wearing it under my wig stopped any itching.
Wishing you all the best for your treatment.
Thank you, it's hard to know what to expect and how it will effect you until you go through it. I like wearing hats so am sure that will help and will look at at getting a wig. I expect the nurses will help me with that. Waiting for the appointment for a bone scan and first treatment, hopefully soon. Sometimes the process seems to take forever!
best wishes,
Silver
