Despite my age I run and weight train daily. 2 years ago I tore a leg muscle , I usually run these things off but my daugfhter fdorced me to see the Dr, first time in 35 yewars. He prescribedb Quinine Sulkphate. That night I took my first dose at 7pm by midnight I was delirious. For the next 4 days I was in severe pain throughout my body, My daughter called an ambulance and I went to A&E. Tests were carried out, MRI etc and I was sent home. 2 days later when going to a business meeting I was contacted by my surgery who asked me to go to the A&E day centre. I asked if I could go later in the day, answer "No " PLEASE" go immediately , On arrival there were 2 x Drs and 2 Nurses waiting for me. A battery of tests were carried out, running machines etc with wires attached to my body. When this was finished the Dr in charge said he is amazed that my cardio vascular system is perfect, akin to an athlete despite me having 2 large blood clots on my lungs and one in my calf, he immdiately put me on Apixiaban and said I would be on it for the rest of my life!. A week later I was called to see a consultant who advised me thart my tests had shown that I haved Chronic Hodgkins lymphoma but he did not feel treatment was necessary at this stage. 3 days later I received from the consultant a coipy of the letter he had sent to my Dr. In the letter he stated [verbatum] " In my opiinion the catalist that caused Mr !!! cancer was the prescribing of Quinine Suphate".
Since then I have had 5 consultations with the consultant who each time says "no treatment needed . my WBC went up to 83000 yet I haver had no symptoms and in the past 2 years not even one infection, colds or otherwise,, WBC count is now down to 73000. so what is going on, It doesnt worry me about death for to me it just another posting, its the way of life. I still train and upto 3 montths ago I was working 7 days a week which I had been doing for 3 years.
ps: In many country,s Quinine Sulphat is banned? My daugfhter wants to sue the NHS but I am not keern as my Dr didnt prescrbe Quinine Sulkphate with malicious intetent , we all make mistakes.
