  • Silver.

I hope your ok. I had my first chemo today. Treatment went ok. Much easier then i thought all are nice. Helpful. Straight away I got mouth ulcers. Body aches. Chesty feeling. So tired. Can't sleep.

I sent you a long email. Hope your ok. Speak soon x

  • Hi Sangha,

Thank you for all the info. I shall go to the Macmillan centre at the hospital where my chemo will be and see what help I can get. I had my masectomy on 6th Dec and still waiting for 1st chemo. The bone scan results take a week, so the the Oncologist will have them by Monday. Scared, of course, that there is nothing untoward in my bones, but it seems quite usual to have a bone scan before chemo.
Im not going to have the cold cap, I'm having my hair cut shorter tomorrow and my friend will come with me to choose a wig. I need to find the nearest shop near here. We are in West Sussex so a long way South.
I was unlucky in that I had a mammogram a year before finding a lump in my breast and it didn't show up, so it was already Grade 2 and in my lymph nodes underarm and I have suspected lymph nodes in my chest wall.
I hope the chemo and radiotherapy will knock out the cancer cells before it's spreads.
    B.....awful the whole thing.
Was very nauseous after surgery so will make sure I get plenty of anti sickness medication.
Im glad you have overcome the first chemo, the fear of the unknown is always hard and that you are on the road to recovery.

Onwards and Upwards as they say....

    Sending you healing vibes...

    Silver
