Welcome to the Cancer Chat forum CC54 although I'm sorry about your son's diagnosis.
I think many of our members have found that even with a great support network it can be very lonely at times as they don't fully understand what they're going through, so this may be the case for your son as well.
I'm not sure if he's thought about connecting with others with bowel cancer but this may be something to look in to as talking with people who are on the same journey can really help you feel less alone. The Bowel Cancer UK website may be a good start as they have an online forum for anyone with a bowel cancer diagnosis.
Hopefully some of our own bowel cancer members will pop by soon to offer their insight and advice as well.
Kind regards,
Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
