Owww! Side effects of BCG treatment

Hi fellow sufferes

I had 12th (& last ) treament a month ago & have had a rotten november with countless trips to the loo, night & day. Have become almost housebound    short journeys as long as I kniw ther's a toilet.

Culminating yesterday in a dash to a&e with horrendous, indescribable pain . I was given oromorph.   Not very eccective, the morphine injection-oh what bliss for several hours. They decided it was bladder spasm & sent me home with buscopan & oxybutinin,. Am due a cystoscopy next week so fingers crosed !!

I will never ever have more bcg, would rather have cystectomy though I know it is major surgery

    Poor you it does sound like you suffered some pretty unpleasant side effects after your BCG treatment. It must have been really bad for you to end up in A and E and be given oromorph. 

    Fingers crossed for your cystoscopy next week I hope it goes well for you and that you can find out more after that about other avenues and treatment options to explore.
