  • Hello Noonie64

I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with your recovery. I think lots of our members will be able to recognise some of what you're described about how you're feeling especially if you don't feel that your recovery is going as quick as it could. It's not always easy but try to remember that it is only 3 months since your operation and that things do take time.

Obviously it would be better to return to full duties at work when you're fully recovered but if you're really struggling with not being there then I wonder if there's any way that your employer might be able to look at a phased return or a temporary return on light duties. That may help you to start to feel more like you again. If you've not spoken to them already then it's worth having a chat.

If you'd like to talk things through with one of our team of nurses then please do give them a call. They're available on 0808 800 4040 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm). I'm sure that they would be able to offer some support and advice.

Be kind to yourself though Noonie64. Don't rush it and I hope with time that things will improve for you.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
