12 months post surgery ,mammogram recall

Hi Everyone 

I am 12m post surgery for Stage 2 Breast cancer and have just had my first mammograms. Radiographer told that they would write to me with my results. Had a letter today asking me to book an appointment with Breast Surgeon Consultant. 

Any advice I live in Birmingham UK

Spoke with my Breast care Nurse today who advised that the letter I've received is annual review however another letter is on it's way as abnormalities in my right Breast have been found on my recent mammogram.

    I'm sorry to read about your situation.

    As you know the purpose of screening the other breast is to find changes at an early stage when the chances of successful treatment are often very good.  

    There is no way around having to wait for the outcome of the recall. So the next step is to have this investigated, and I think until the results are available, no one will be able to tell you any more.

    Thank you Celene, I think it was the mix up with the letters initially that made me anxious. 

    I have been told I have " subtle calcification " requiring biopsy.
