Hey, my name is Sylwia. My friend Agata was diagnosed with ACC
cancer and now she also have tumors in her lungs. She's looking for treatment. In November Agata will have a biopsy of lung tumors (metastases).
"Hi, my name is Agata, I'm 28 years old. I am raising a 10-year-old daughter Zuzia on my own and she's only got me. I want to fight for her, she is my biggest motivation, I can't leave her. In 2015 I felt a lump under my jaw, I was going from one doctor to another and all I was getting were antibiotics for inflammation ... General practitioners have hinted that these are delusions, and I'm making up diseases. And the tumor did not disappear at all, and there were frequent headaches too. Due to my determination, I finally found the right doctor and I was appointed for urgent surgery. Suspected multiform adenoma. The operation took place in the Hospital in the otorhinolaryngology ward in December 2016.
On the day of receiving the histopathological result in February 2017, I was shocked ... Diagnosis was made - ACC malignant glandular cystic carcinoma from Latin. carcinoma adenoides cysticum. I didn't know much about that at the time. This is a very rare and extremely malignant tumor. Chemo-resistant. There isn't many people diagnosed with this type of cancer, which is why treatment is difficult, it does not respond to basic treatment, doctors do not know what methods are best to use. Acc is a cancer with poor prognosis and is treated by resecting the lesion. Survival rate is around 30% and is associated with a high percentage of relapses and metastases. I came to the Oncology Institute in February 2017, in March I had a number of tests, full diagnostics, and from April 4 I started radiotherapy, which lasted until May 19, 2017.
After the radiotherapy it was allright. I was glad I'm in full health again and I can enjoy my life with my daughter. I went to Germany in July 2017. On subsequent routine tests, a possible thyroid tumor was detected, but luckily it turned out to be a false alarm and disappeared. I breathed a sigh of relief, although the stress was enormous. I managed to return to a normal life, work, everyday life, family. I tried not to think about the disease. I returned to Poland and I was again under the control of the Oncology Institute in Gliwice. In February 2019, there was a suspicion of lymph node metastasis, the biopsy came out ok. However, in March 2019, nodules were detected at the top of the lung. Subsequent tomography showed multiple lump dissemination nodules. This diagnosis is confirmed by subsequent tomographies - stable disseminated changes in both lungs. They are stable, which gives good prognosis, but at my age, watching and waiting for them to grow and kill me slowly ... this is not the way out."
Agata's in a need of someone who's looking for experimental treatment or who find some different way. For someone who want to share, who want to talk.
Thank you
