I'm sorry your doctor didn't say much but don't be afraid of asking again as they are in the best position to tell you about this and answer your questions. When you next see them, tell them that you'd like to know what it is. Maybe you could make a note of the questions you've asked here and take them with you so you don't forget what else you'd like to find out.
