Welcome to Cancer Chat R11onb although I'm sorry about your diagnosis.
Hopefully some of our other womb cancer members will pop by soon to say hello and share their experiences with you but in the meantime I just wanted to wish you well with your chemo and radiotherapy and let you know we'll be thinking of you when it begins.
Kind regards,
Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
Hi. I'm waiting for the same treatment. I too had cancer in lymph nodes. I start chemo on 22nd Feb. I'm really scared because I decided to look things up. I feel really strong after my op but I realise now that I can't control what's going onside my body.
I hope you're doing well.xxx Ruby
Hi
I had 6 sessions of Chemo, a Pik Line for the Canular and then after the last session in February I got a bad reaction/infection from the Chemo.
Was in hospital 3 times in March, June and August. They were perplexed what I had but have been on Steroids since. My Oncologist is also perplexed and it seems to be either Stills disease plus arthritas.
Just had another CT scan which is clear of Cancer.
Seeing my Rhuematologist in Feb - still have painful joints.
Good luck with your treatment
Rhonda
Hi Ruby - I just found your post. I’m in a similar position to you, waiting for chemo but I don’t have a date yet. I was diagnosed as Grade 1 Stage 3 but I don’t have any cancer in the lymph nodes, just on the surface of the womb. It’s a scary time isn’t it! Perhaps we can connect and talk about the treatment as it happens? I’ll probably be about a month behind you. I’m scheduled for 6 rounds of Paclitaxel and Carboplatin. Is that similar to you? You’re getting closer to starting. I hope you are not getting too nervous. Wishing you luck with it. Take care JWO
That's sounds good. You don't have any lymph node involvement. I had cancer in 1 lymph node so chemo is the best for that. I start next Thursday. I just want to power on through this. I feel good, I'm recovering well after my hysterectomy. Our chemo meds are the same but obviously the dosage will be suited to our individual needs. So far I feel happy and positive.
Please keep in touch xx
Ruby
Good for you! You sound really positive. I’ll try and follow your example. I had my surgery on January 20. It was tougher than I expected but now, 4 weeks on, I can feel normality returning. I’m still getting tired and uncomfortable by evening and not confident to drive yet. Hoping that will come soon. How about you? Glad to hear you are feeling strong after surgery. How long has it been?
I have to have both Covid jabs before I start chemo. First one yesterday and the next in 3 weeks. And I haven’t yet had an appointment with the oncologist. Step by step ...
J
I've been told it's 12 weeks until the 2nd jab. I've had my 1st one. My op was on 14th Jan. I've been fine after. I was doing walks out once I got home.
we have the same staging of Cancer. I will let you know how I get on. I just want to get things going now as it's a long hard slog then I have radiotherapy after. My chemo is delayed for a few days now as I'm waiting for a breast biopsy result. Totally unrelated to womb cancer. It's a seperate thing. So far I feel strong and happy and hope it continues but I don't know how chemo will make me feel .
You can private message if you like. Are you in London?
xx
Sorry you have another separate area of concern. I admire your strength! I’m being fast tracked for the Covid jab which is nice. So I won’t be far behind you with the chemo. Good luck when you start.
I’m in Norfolk. If you accept my friend request then we can use private messages - at least I think that’s how it works. I’m new here so I may have that all wrong.
Take care, J
Hello
Hope you are wellx
how are you doing. My mum has a recurrence of endometrial cancer in her para ortic lymph nodes and pelvic lymph nodes.
Did the chemo banish the nasty cells away?
lots of love xxx. ️
Hi
I hope you are doing well with your treatment. Can I ask what your symptoms were? I had triple negative breast cancer last year, which was treated successfully (fingers crossed) with chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy. I'm 15 months since diagnosis and have been bleeding for 9 days straight, no period in 15 months! Is this how your womb cancer started? I have my gynecology appointment Wednesday, I'm terrified
