The side effect I'am having us with my feet it's like a burning in the heels and big toes. Have been using ice blocks and foot creams but wondering if anybody has any other ideas.

  • Hi Leeanne and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry about the burning sensations you're getting in your feet. I do hope the ice blocks and foot creams you're using are helping but hopefully some of our members who have experienced this side effect will share their tips and advice with you soon.

We have a team of cancer nurses available on 0808 800 4040 if you'd like to have a chat with them about this as well. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

Wishing you all the best with the rest of your treatment Leeanne.

  • Hi there

I'm sorry to hear about you cancer and the side effects you were having I hope has all eased off and you're doing well on the Avastin.

Have you had any results from the Avastin yet?

Can I ask did you find the Avastin yourself privately?

Looking at getting it for my husband but the nhs hospital came back with a price of £1,250 every 2 weeks, seems extortionate.

    Thanks Toni  x

  • Hello Leanne,

l am one of the few who ended up with neuropathy of the the feet and hands.l was told to take vitamin b tablets and keep rolling a tennis bull under my bare feet front to back, presumably to help circulation, but speak to your medical team for their advice.

                             good luck with your recovery,

                                                                               david
