    Hi Ladies,

I must say you have both given me a much needed boost, reading your stories & how you are dealing with everything you are both an inspiration to me.
I don't know if it is because in my journey I haven't been ill as in, been in hospital, feeling ill, Days spent in waiting rooms etc.,. I moment I was me plodding along working, looking after my husband & enjoying being a NaN for the first time, then Bam " Sept, You have DCIS, we need to operate...." then I find myself in this situation, I sometimes feel like a fraud because I don't feel any different to how I was before Sept. Its weird to try and explain, coz I haven't been to work for nearly3 months (I work in a local primary school as a Teaching Assistant) I am planning on going back in January.

anyway you two ladies are simply amazing and I wish you nothing but good things in 2020.

  • Hi there Angel

Same as you I have never had any major medical problems and always kept fit and active. I'm 67 now it feel much younger. My breast cancer was only found on a routine mammogram and I've had such fantastic care from all the staff at the hospital. I just feel incredibly lucky it was found by chance this summer. I had two separate procedures - one for the lumpectomy and then four weeks later sentinel node biopsies. Seemed to have been waiting around for ages waiting for those results to come back but now onwards and upwards for 2020.

Have been out walking on the beach early this morning as my energy levels are coming back three weeks after finishing radiotherapy. You will feel very tired after the radiotherapy has finished but hopefully you can rest up when you need to and take it easy

Sending positive vibes to you and lots of love for a lovely Christmas xx

  • Hi ladies,

hmmm proscecco... ladies nights out ... Lady Luck with you both.  Just thought I'd stop by and say I'm still hanging in there, 12 down only 6 left to go.  Good thing that's all that's left my skin is taking a Knick very pink and skin almost bobbly but the nurses gave me some special cream to use, little better, hopefully by Monday it will have settled down.  The boost is going to hurt my nipple falls within the radius!!! So they've pre warned me!! Overall though I'm fine a little prickly or itchy but nothing else, no tiredness either.

I hope you are both ready for a lovely Christmas The kids are doing the cooking at their house, I'm taking a pudding... Oreo based key lime cheesecake

Big love to you both and hope you both staying happy and healthy
