  • I bet,it's a doddle until the damn tiredness gets you.....but as long as it's all gone I can handle this for the short term!!!
The sleep is good and can only but help I guess....

    loads of love

    xxxx

  • Hi JBee glad you are all set and ready to go. Not long to wait now for you. It seemed quite daunting at the start to think of 15 sessions and all the travelling but in the end it seemed to go quite fast!
Hope you have an uneventful treatment plan and make sure you are putting plenty of E45 cream on now to protect your skin.
I finished my radiotherapy on Wednesday and am starting to feel quite a bit more tired now. Still managing to get out and about for short walks and go to the supermarket etc but making sure to rest in the afternoon.

Have a good weekend and speak very soon.

    Love Mary xx

  • Hi JBee,

Not long until you start now!! On the countdown to starting.....Hope all is good with you lovely and you are all ready to go? Hope you've been creaming up before you start?
Have you started your tablets yet?
My tiredness is subsiding now,no falling asleep in the day anymore but still sleeping loads at night.

We will all be in the finished club very soon,Yayyyy!!

    Much love xxxx

  • Hey lovely lady, how strange I was going to check on you tomorrow, didn't want to disturb your weekend.  Yes not long to go eeeeek.  I'm sure it will be fine.  Yes I have been using in abundance the E45.  Not started tablets yet hun

Good to hear  you sound like you getting back to normal.  I'll work from home from Thursday through until radiotherapy has finished, just easier.  Otherwise all is well.... except it's been so cold!!! I'm not a winter person haha

You ready for Christmas?  I really can't be bothered, I'm not even putting a tree or decorations this year again.  I know I'm miserable lol xx

  • Hi Hun,

Yes getting there, the tiredness definitely going as long as I don't overdo things.

Yes bloody cold out there, maybe that's why I'm staying in bed so long lol.

Bought a few presents online but like you I'm really not bothered at all this year, can't even think about putting a tree up,so maybe just put a few bits around as we have 9 for Christmas dinner, all thanks to hubby....grrrrrr.

I really felt I just wanted a Christmas to sit and do nothing but hubby is cooking the dinner but I'm sure I'll be up doing things and then end up shattered....

Take it easy hun,the tiredness didn't really hit until after the 20 days and then it hit big time and it's not until it's easing I realised how tired I'd been...

Keep in touch as to how it's going xxx

  • I will definitely keep in touch and let you know how I'm getting on.  Thank you again for all your wonderful encouragement, support and advice

Have a great start to a new week when you get there and I'll pop along Friday after I've had the first two sessions xx

  • Ok lovely, but here if you need to talk or vent anytime.

    Youll smash it

  • Hi there you two, hope all is well.

I am now about 10 days after finishing radiotherapy and apart from some tiredness am feeling very well. Enjoying my afternoon rest watching old films etc

Been out into Bridlington old town for the Dickensian Festival and had lunch out with friends. Lots of walking about so now a bit tired but good to get out, bit cold mind you!

Good luck JBee with the radiotherapy this week and Jackie am pleased to hear you're not as tired now.

My youngest son is staying for Christmas and does the Christmas lunch. Out on Boxing Day so I can have a chilled time and just supervise

Lots of love to you both

    Love Mary xx

  • Hi Mary,

Doesnt the tiredness wipe you out?? Pleased you are feeling good!! It's nice to go out for a bit of normality after the rubbish last few months we've all been through.

A  close friend who had it earlier this year suddenly got problems and she was worried but it turned out she was overdoing things so a learning curve for us all even though we feel fine....

    Love to you xxx

  • Hi Jackie

The tiredness hits you suddenly. My legs feel weird as if they don't belong to me sometimes Yes I keep thinking thinking I can carry on as before doing my usual daily walk and then realise it's not possible yet.

Got to be patient and give it time. It's been a long emotional and tiring few months since first diagnosed so we have to be kind to ourselves and rest up. Looking forward to a healthier New Year and more energy then.

Let me know how you get on at your follow up this month. I don't see the oncologist until mid January

    xx
