Paclitaxel

anyone been on this chemo paclitaxel, just wondered about side effects. Due to start it, just waiting for letter in the post.

  • Hi Shelly, I am so sorry I didn’t get back sooner to your message. I am so glad you found out what it was. I felt sure you had a chest infection. Especially when you mentioned the crackling around that are. I am not sure where you have cancer, I have probably read it somewhere. My memory is all over the place at the minute. I am not sure what you know about the lungs, I am probably saying something you already know on the right lung we have 3 lines almost of equal sizes, on the left we only have 2 lines. The upper lobe is over 3 quarters of our entire left lung, of not more. Some people are not aware how big our lungs are, where you described the pain I know between the just inside the ribs is the lower bit of either lung, on the right side, as you know just under the lung is the liver. Now with you saying it hurt to breath in and out, the signs showed towards the lower lung being infected, especially when you said about each time not only did something hurst, it was the crackerling that I felt certain about the chest infection, I know the ribs make piping kind of noises. It the fist time I heard that they can cracke as well. I always say we are never too old to learn something everyday. Please don’t be offended, because I forgot to say when the nooks out, and of course I will let you know. Do you read a lot, info I am addicted to reading and I have recently read some absolutely favourite books, pre released ones recently. I get acces to a lot of books to read before they go on sale. I still have one hell of s lot to get through. Yet fit the very few times I have had to say this. Last night and tonight I am not going to be reading. At this moment in time I feel extremely ill, I am burning up, I have the most almighty headache ever, I don’t say this too often, yet last time I actually felt this bad was when I almost died. Because of how I am feeling. I can not explain how bad, and how ill I am plus I feel like I have the word on my shoulders. When I go to sleep tonight I keep thinking I want it over now. Ok I lived one hell of a lot longer than I should have. Know st this minute I just really want it to end. No I am not depressed. Just Ill and so warn down to the core. Enough becomes enough sometimes. This is one of my sometimes. Now please Shelly whatever you do please do not feel sorry for me. I hate sympathy. When I say I hate it I do. We are all in the same boat on here. I will probably feel much better tomorrow if I mange to get a goodnightd  sleep, I will make sure you get a copy of my book ok, see changing already let me know if you have a kindle or anything and how much and what genre of books you like, lots of love Marj xxxx

  • Hi Marj, doc said it is either cause my lungs have basically been squashed with the ascites or an infection. He gave me antibiotics. Hope you had a nice couple of days away.

I have sbc with mets to the bones (ribs, spine, shoulder, long bones in the arms and legs), liver and omental layer.

I did read a lot, only lately that's because I can't find a good book to read. I love the Harry Potter books lol. I also like true life about kids who get abused, I know it sounds awful but I think people should know what's going on out their, it's shocking. I haven't really read a lot of other genres, so I can't really say what I like. Yes I have a kindle, but it's the old one, where you can only read on it.

sorry you feel so ill, is there nothing they can give you? And I know you don't want sympathy but if you want to chat about anything or have a rant I'm here for you. Hope you get a good nights sleep, you'll feel much better if you do.

take care and hope you feel better very soon.

    lots of love ️ Shelly.xxx

  • Hi Shelly glad you got things sorted, and your on antibiotics. I am so sorry that I said I wasn’t  sure what type or where you’re cancer was. It was only after I had posted the message I remembered, so my sincere apologies for asking again. What more is having had to remind you of everything, I could kick myself Shelly. Regarding the books you like, I have to be honest Harry Potter is not on my list of books to read, I have never ever seen a Harry Potter film let alone read a book,my son has every single Harry Potter book. It’s just really not my cup of tea. From what I know about it. I am not into magic or sky fi stuff, I like more realistic thrillers and psychologically thrillers. The type of thing that could actually be based on fact. The type of book you like is not sick or anything wrong with it, it does go one, far far more than anyone realises, yes people need to know. Have you a way to get digital books, as in a kindle, iPad, iPhone, mind you, I know you can get them on Android as well but because I have mainly apple products I don’t know a great deal about android. All I can say is that anything other than Apple devices would be android software. Because if you get kindle book from Amazon, you can either buy the actual book, or try a 30 day fitter trial of kindle books, it’s a monthly subscription of £7.99 to get loads of books to read thousands, but if you do not read very much you could try the 30 day free trial, oh it is genuinely free. You just have to remember to stop it a few days before the trial ends otherwise the money will come out of your bank, you would think the amount of books I read I would be on it. Well I did but then I switched to Amazon prime for the tv, I had been wanting to watch a series for a long time. Despite having a full subscription to sky tv and a subscription to Netflix it was only on Prime tv  anyhow I get access to the books with breing a pfrime member. Because of the type of book you like I am going to send you s title of a book you should definitely read, it’s actually based on a real case, but says it’s a work of fiction, I personally do not think it’s fictitious myself. I personally think it’s a true story and she’s written itthe way she has, for a couple of reasons, one mainly because of how high this goes her life would definitely be at risk, also she doesn’t want to have a lawsuit on her back either. Obviously she’s made it literally like a novel. I am and a friend of mine read it, I didn’t tell her my thinking. So when she had finished the book o asked what she had thought of it. She said she thought it was based on truth with name changes.i told her that’s exactly how I felt about the book Even to the very last Paige. The author is ...... Sybil Hodge, the book was called the........ untouchables........ it’s a absolutely brilliant book. I can only read a book once. Their are 2 books in my entire life I have read more than once. This was one of them. I really do suggest you read this. Just please bare with it because it’s a couple of chapters before it go back to the past of someone living in a children’s home. Take mush more notice then, I do mean read it all but the children’s home is literally based on operation Yew tree. Which is still a ongoing investigation. As we speak. You know when jimmy savile died a lot of things started to come out, Weill this is a part or the yew tree investigating. Read and you will enjoy it . It’s my know what you think, I don’t know if it would allow me to send it on to you, I will look and let you know in the mean time take a look at the synopsis. Ok Shelly lots of love hugs Marj cxxx

  • Hi Marj, don't worry about having to ask me again about what I was dx with, I don't mind.

I love magical things like Harry Potter, think it just lets me escape the real world. I will definitely read that book your on about, when I've finished the one I'm reading. Don't worry about sending it I will just buy it.

Ive already had the 30 day free trial, but I get amazon tv and Netflix free off my Mam and we have the full sky package too so I have sky go on my iPad. How you feeling now? Hope a bit better than last week. I haven't been on for a while, went away  for weekend and haven't felt so good since I come back.

take care Hun, lots of love Shelly.xxxx
