Had 3rd lot of chemo yesterday.
Having trouble since I started with chemo. Like appetite not much. Sick or feeling sick no taste buds and when I am hungry I eat just rice , loads of fruit.
Any body got any ideas what else I could try.

Hi hel I'm afraid it's trial and error alot of really strong foods like curry taste OK but they might make you sick, try small piece first, i found ginger ale nice for a drink, think about what you can eat after treatment i did, how many more have you got to go,. Good luck
Billy
P.s been there done that, brobably try again next year its fun isn't it,. Truthfully I'm non curable so every so often i have to have more to take count down,. Had IT over 3 years now.
I have another 4 more to go. Thank u for your advice. Had my head shaved last Wednesday :)
What's your side effects like mine i started being sick 24/7 for a few days (not nice,) aches and pains all over for about 24 hrs was supposed to have 10 sessions but i was that bad they cut it to 6,. Best wishes., good luck with others,
Billy
P.s did you get a hat, square, or wig or are courageous, without any, i lost it of the top only i looked like an olden day munk. God bless.
Hello
i can relate. Firstly speak to the oncologist or nurse about your sick feeling, usually you can take extra anti sickness tablet. For food oats porridge with cinnamon and honey, salads lace with lemon juice it cuts through the no taste feeling. I even ate a couple pickled onions just be careful you don’t have too much acid. Beetroot lots of with a burger patty. Avocado with a little seasoning and splash of vinegar. Baked potatoe with baked beans and cheese or tuna seasoned with a tart mayo. There’s something about the acid flavours that make it at least palatable... actually makes it tasty. Veggie dishes par boil add a little cumin and season little salt and peeper gentlevsaute then add some seasame seeds, have with salmon (strong flavour fish). Start small portions to start so you can figure what agrees with you. I also ate lots of cherry, peach or strawberry yoghurts .. you can put that on muselli too.
Hope this helps

What ever you do don't get yougart with live bacteria it'll come straight back the hard way, good luck.
Billy
P.s my Mrs offered me half a small spoon it stopped down about 4 seconds i couldn't believe it was so quick.
No live bacteria survives the process. I never had any issues, but that’s the thing everyone is different and it’s all trial and error until you figure what works for you.
Hi I've just been checking my notes from my specialist, i was told keep off any live bacteria thats (some) yougart and cheese, grapefruit there the main ones like jbee says it can vary person to person, but i was specifically warned about above.
