Hello want to introduce myself

Hello everyone,

i would like to introduce myself. My name is Wendy I am 41 years old. In October 2018 I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and had my first surgery on 21st November, where I had lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node removal. This came back as stage 3 breast cancer. January 14th 2019 I had my second surgery to remove more marginal tissue and the rest of my lymph nodes. This surgery was still not enough as there was still some early cancer cells so in July I will be having my 3rd surgery. Out of the full 25 lymph nodes that were removed there were only 3 that contained cancer so that was good!

i have just finished my 6 sessions of chemotherapy and I feel awful, I am now walking with a stick now as I am so weak and the pains in my body and legs is unbearable.

My family and friends have been really supportive, I have tried to keep positive as at the end of the day, I have it!

i have 2 sons, eldest is 21 and embarrassed to say but serving time at her majesty’s pleasure and my youngest is 11, both boys seem to be coping really well but I can see their worry. I am a single mum so do find it really hard to keep upbeat and positive when I really don’t want to.

I work part time but have been off on ssp since the beginning of March as I was spending 2 weeks out of 3 off work, it’s been really tough financially as I have a mortgage to pay too but I am scraping by, you just have to dont you!

Im due back to work 3rd July but that is when my surgery is planned for so won’t be back till 22nd July.

I suffer bad with anxiety and depression, damaged nerves in my back and my back and legs have gotten worse as time has passed. I am due for more scans after radiotherapy where they will check an abnormality on my liver which they couldn’t work out and the rest of me  to see if we are doing good.

I could keep going with loads of stuff but I just wanted to give a little bit about my story so far as I introduce myself.
