Chemo for Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Hi, I’ve been told by my surgeon that it’s pretty much a given that I’m going to be offered chemo by my oncologist. I had surgery last week and I’m awaiting the results.

Anyone who has had chemo for triple negative breast cancer know what the chemo will be? I.e which drugs and length of time etc? I know it’s totally different for everyone. Would just be good to hear some stories. Also any advice about how to stay healthy during cycles. Thanks everyone.

  • Hi teacherandmam, glad your surgery went ok. I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in 2017 and had surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy in 2018.  I had four sessions of EC chemotherapy with each session 3 weeks apart. Then four sessions of Paclitaxcel ev which were two weeks apart.I did lose my hair but it has grown back the same now ( rocking the grey now, no more colouring!) The chemo was not as bad as I thought it would be, and the staff were amazing! Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any niggles or worries, Suri
