Tongue problems

Hi everyone new here so hello to you all I am wondering if anyone has experienced this at this moment I have bone marrow cancer blood cancer also suffer a rare form of blood disorders I also have chronic kidney disease connective tissue disease bronchiaes lung disease and possible ms so as you can see I'm not a very well person to start with but for the last 7 weeks I have had a very sore swollen tongue now also affecting my throat been back and fore Dr one said infection one said fluid build up as I'm full of fluid at moment one said thrush I've tried all treatments but nothing is working and it's getting worse to the point I can't eat nothing else but noodles as they slip down but sting and hurt like razor blades and even drinking is becoming a problem now feels like razor blades on my tongue I don't where I go from here don't feel any of the Dr are taking this seriously like but surely it shouldn't be getting worse if anyone could help or have had similar experiences I would really appreciate your input thank you

    Welcome to Cancer Chat, although I'm sorry to read about what you're going through at the moment. I understand it must be worrying, and any uncertainty like this is difficult.

    While I can't offer any specific advice, I would just suggest to make sure you get some clear answers from your doctor, and then to trust in them to advise accordingly to your situation. One thing you could do is to write down some notes each day about how it's feeling - any symptoms or whether it's getting better or worse - and then you could take that to the doctor next time you see them. This may help them in terms of seeing any pattern, and it may also help you to keep track of it and to take some proactive steps.
