Hi All
Last August, my partner was diagnosed with stage three bowel cancer. He completed his chemo at the beginning of April this year and had a check up CT scan which showed something on his lung. The doctors were not sure what this was and had arranged a follow up CT scan for Friday 7th June (three months after). It turned out, shortly after his previous scan, that he had a severe bronchal infection which was casuing him to cough up blood. That was fixed with antibiotics and thankfully, no more blood!
We think that the mark may have been this infection (or we are hoping so!) however, he has had a call from the hospital today (Monday) saying the doctor would like to see him on Wednesday morning and now we are so worried.
He had an appointment booked for Friday so it appears they have pushed him through for Wednesday.
I know we are always bracing ourselves for bad news whlilst hoping for the best, but is the fact they called so quickly a bad sign??
