I had a mastectomy on 12th April and have now been told I need various courses of chemo, hormones and radiotherapy. They wanted to fit me with a portacath to administer the chemo.  Although I have been strong throughout the diagnosis and surgery, I am falling apart at what is coming up next.  I just cannot cope with having a portacath fitted as I feel it is too invasive and scary.  My team have agreed to fit me with a PICC line instead.  I would really appreciate to hear what others have had and would recommend please.
