Conflicting Advice

I was diagnosed with Breast cancer at the end of November 2018. They discovered I had one under my breast attached to the chest wall - not in the breast which is oestrogen positive and one small one in the breast which is triple negative.

I was prescribed Anastrozole and a new drug Kisqali to shrink the tumour under my breast.

My consultant/surgeon told me in January I would need a full mastectomy but she would prefer the lump under my breast to shrink first. I see her again in July. She said she could operate then and there but preferred to wait.

Meanwhile I have been referred to an oncologist who is responsible for the Kisqali as it is only given under special circumstances and apparently it has miraculous results. I see her every four weeks for a new prescription. I saw her on Tuesday and she said the lump under my breast was inoperable and it would not be safe to operate. She would zap it with radiotherapy to contain it even though it has shrunk. I told her my consultant had said she could operate and her reply was 'Oh thats okay then'. Now I dont know what to think. I am seeing her again just after i see my surgeon.

Meanwhile I am having an MRI to see what the other tumour is doing!
