  • Hello Anna1975

i had an axillary node clearance on 3rd April along with lumpectomy.  They ended up taking lower nodes only, I had seven lymph nodes and two were positive.  In the ultrasound one node looked enlarged but it turned out to be two.  There are three levels of lymph nodes. It was sore and I had one drain in. Stayed one night in hospital.  The District Nurse came each day to check drain and took out (didn’t hurt) after 3 days.  I Did the exercises they gave me three times a day and three weeks later had complete range of movement back.  I used a good ointment Cetraben.  Scar is nice, soft and well healed.

Sorry if rambling but as I’ve had the op wanted to reply.

If there is anything else I can help you with please just let me know.

It does make us fed up but we need to do all we can to stop this cancer coming back.

    xxxxxx
