Hi there,
I have no medical training at all but please, this is not nothing, it's definitely something and you need to be checked over tonight really. My personal experience of coughing up blood led to me being diagnosed with PEs (pulmonary embolisms) and more recently my dad was coughing up blood as a symptom of his lung cancer. If I'd ignored myself coughing up blood I wouldn't be here now as dramatic as that sounds and my dad was given transemic acid to stop the bleeding. I can't emphasise enough how desparately I think you need medical attention. I'd bet my last £1 that your wife will be glad you told her and will support you as much as she can. Call a doctor!!! Please. Xxxxxx
Thank you so much for replying if I cough anymore up I am going to tell her she has been so good looking after me over the operation and the chemo and is so happy now it's going to be hard to tell her .
