I just wanted to stop by and congratulate you on the success of your chemo in shrinking your tumour. 

If my memory serves me right, I think [@davek]‍ went on holiday shortly after finishing treatment so hopefully he, and other members who have been in a similar position, will pop by soon to share their experiences and advice.

Hi Jofin,

I felt the same way and, after discussing it with my oncologist, I flew out to Goa and spent almost 3 weeks in the sun before flying home for my end of chemo CT scan results. Different type of cancer I know.

The only downside was the high cost of travel insurance so close to treatment, but that has fallen every year since I finished treatment.

Could I ask who you got your insurance with? I’m hoping to take my husband to Goa in December following his completion of Chemotherapy in August. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How did you cope with the long flight and the heat.

What country are you in? We're in Canada. So not sure you can use the same one?

Glad you got insurance cover for your Mum.  I also got cover and for anyone in the U.K. who is interested, it was with Boots (the chemist shops chain).  It was a special one for cancer sufferers and was surprisingly reasonable.
