Radiotherapy for Glioma - does it work?

Hi

All

I am diagnosed with a Grade 3 Glioma in my brain last Ocotber. I went through surgery in December and full resection to remove the tumour.

Now after histology the doctors has said I must go though radiotherapy and possibly a round of Chemo.

I understand the radiotherapy targets the cancer cell genes, this could mutate or destroy normal cells too  which may increase the recurrence chance. So initially the treatment may shrink the tumour but slowly they will recur. So I'm little confused if I  can avoid radiotherapy and try an alternative therapies.

Does anyone have experience avoiding radiotherapy and was able to control the malignant tumour just with the surgery and alternative therapies or diet etc?

I'm 35 years old, I'm feeling good after the surgery so don't want to ruin my current health condition taking this treatment. So looking for some suggestions.

Thanks

K
