Today I received my CT scan results which showed that my cancer is still dormant - the best Christmas present ever
The wait outside the Oncologist's office seemed to last forever today. My primary has shrunk slightly over the past six months, the lung nodules were unchanged and the lymph nodes now show no visible signs of cancer. No-one can explain why this has happened as the chemo was only expected to slow down the growth of my cancer for a few months.
Perhaps I really should start a website extolling the antioxidant properties of wine, beer and curry as a complementary therapy? Something along the lines of "It is important to include both wine and beer in your diet. Whilst the antioxidant content of beer is equivalent to that of wine, the specific antioxidants are different because the barley and hops used in the production of beer contain flavonoids different from those in the grapes used in the production of wine. Curry is another key part of this diet. Home made curry made contains a blend of spices loaded with antioxidants, compounds that fight cancer in our bodies by attacking cancer-causing free radical cells." Only joking but with an appropriate amount of pseudo-science and good marketing who knows how far this would go?
Seriously, thanks to everyone for your much appreciated messages of support.
