Hi. I was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer two and a half years ago, I'm ALK Positive and on Crizotinib. Just wondering if there is any one else out there and how they're getting on.
Thanks for responding. It's useful to hear from someone on same treatment. I only started tx 3 weeks ago, so its early days in regard tx and diagnosis. So, taking everything one day at a time.
Can I ask what stage your cancer is and where ? Are you on additional tx, radiotherapy etc. Sorry for all questions. If you don't answer, that's ok
im stage 4 aswell. i had an operation to remove it from my lung in march 2018 - then some chemo and radiotherapy -hoping that it would eradicate it. Unfortunately by Jan this year it had spread to my liver and bones - which was a real shock and incredibly scary. Still is, to be honest.
That's when i started on the meds - so far so good - got to keep hoping that the clever medical people keep making various breakthroughs I guess ..
Hi, thanks for the reply. I wasn't offered chemo, as immediate diagnosis was Stage 4 and started on Alectinib instead. Your stage sounds stable. I'm defo with you in hoping for ongoing research. All the best and thanks for the positive vibes.
I know many people on Alectinib who are doing well. Some have had CyberKnife to treat brain lesions. Like you I'm on targeted treatment (Brigatinib) for my lung cancer. I was diagnosed more than 6 1/2 years ago and feel well. There are new drugs and more in the pipeline. I wish you all the very best.
