advice needed stage 4 PC

My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer at the beginning of November this year. He’s slowly becoming more and more tiered, almost looks a shade of grey and pale.

Hes struggling to eat but says it’s because he’s so constipated he’s tried nearly all of the laxatives from the doctors and it doesn’t work for him. He’s had an enemena this evening when the nurse came, he said he managed to poo “a little”.

Hes watching telly and he’s managed to eat a small cake, diddnt want any tea. He’s losing weight and looking weaker. We are currently waiting to see the cancer hospital to see if they can give him palliative chemo to make him more confrable not sure, it’s spread and we’ve been told we don’t ha e much time. I’m so worried, I can’t sleep and I can’t think about anything else. Will be in all honestly continue to get weaker with this disease or is there any hope for us?

  • I'm sorry you're having to see your dad go through this Tinkerbell.

Only his medical team can really answer that question for you but I'm sure our members who have been in similar situations with their loved ones will pop by when they can to offer their support and advice.

I hope your dad is able to eat a bit more and have that palliative chemo.

    Kind regards,
