Hi 

Just wanna say that i have just gone through the worst few months of my life and just so glad i could come on here as it has really helped.

I have cervical cancer and have finally found out that it is stage 1. I need to have an MRI scan next week to check it hasnt spread  then am having a radical hysterectomy then hopefully no more treatment

Just wanted to say that its a scarey thing to go through but i think staying positive ( most of the time ) has helped but also being on here has been a real help

Having cancer can make you feel very lonley and that no one else really understands but having this site to go on has helped me massively.

Reading everyones stories on here has helped so much and chatting to ladies in the same position as me has been really really comforting.

I wish everyone on here all the luck in the world and thankyou again for helping me through this nightmare

    I am so pleased to hear that Cancer Chat has been a great help to you at a time when you needed it the most. Talking to others who understand exactly what you are going through can be a great coping strategy.

    Best of luck for your MRI scan next week and the hysterectomy. Keep us updated on everything if you get a chance we'll be thinking of you.

    Dear Mikki,  I hope all goes well with the hysterectomy .  I had one aged 36 yesrs old with two young children.   I recovered well, was positive and did as I was told, I'm 70 now and it's never caused me phisical or phycological problems, acceptance of knowing it's the best course helps a lot.  So its lovely to hear this forum helped,  it has certainly helped me.  Good luck with your future.   Carol

    Thankyou lucie i am feeling confident about it all now. Not looking forward to the op but could of been so much worse so im really thankfull.
