As I noticed this is your first post with us I just wanted to stop by and give you a warm welcome to the forum, Jennijenni, although I'm sorry to hear about your mother-in-law's situation.

Until you receive a reply from one of our members why don't you try searching for threads from others here who have been through a similar situation? If you use the search engine from the left hand side of the blue banner at the top of this page and insert 'bowel cancer' it will show up previous posts which you might find useful to read. Everyone here is very friendly and I'm sure they will be happy to chat with you and offer advice.
