Chemo or optima study trials ??

Hi everyone can anyone advise me if they have had the option to have the trials optima seems a certain amount of women are offered this I have had two ops breast cancer an lymphnode removed then armpit dissection went today to see oncologist an have now suggested this I have kinda prepared myself for the chemo even bought the scars an now given the choice of these trials but only a certain amount of women will get picked then if picked don’t gave chemo I’m now all over the place an feel sick with not knowing what to do any advise would be so appreciated xx

It sounds like you are facing a difficult treatment dilemma and I hope you will meet others here who have had to make a similar decision and been offered the option of these trials.
You could also try and ring our nurses on this free number 0808 800 4040. Their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and they may have some useful advice for you on this or be able to point you in the right direction to help you make an informed decision.

Hi lucie Thankyou for replying after talking to a few people first I said yes to the trials then made myself ill wondering if I had done the right thing and then having to wait four weeks to see if I was even selected for the trials so decided not to,an to go ahead with the chemo an radiation which will start next Wednesday
It’s going to be many months of treatments but trying to be positive an take a day at a time
I’m also going to start a diary of my experience living with cancer it help to write feelings down as I go on this journey been told that can help some people x
