Endometrial stage 3 bladder retention

Hi all,

I had a radical hysterectomy for stage 3 cancer 2/2/18 I went through 26 rounds of radiation.

I now have bladder retention which means I have to self catheterize 4/5 times a day. I’m going through ptns in hopes of returning my bladder to normal.

My stomach is constantly uncomfortable/painful

Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you in advance.

I so appreciate this website. Prayers to all of you.

  • Hello Rosesforever and welcome to Cancer Chat,

It sounds like you are having to deal with some pretty uncomfortable symptoms such as the pain in your stomach or having to self catheterize so many times a day. I hope PTNS does the trick and that your bladder soon returns to normal.

I also hope that this website will put you in touch with others here who have been diagnosed with endometrial cancer. I had a little look for you and found a couple of members who have also been affected by the same type of cancer and have also had a radical hysterectomy. Only a few days ago, [@Hellsbells65]‍  posted this thread and I hope she will pop here and share her experience with you. It can definitely help to talk to others who are on the same boat. Similarly, [@ChocLover]‍ was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in December 2017 and she mentioned in this post that she has had a hysterectomy, chemotherapy as well as radiotherapy and brachytherapy. So I hope she will come and chat to you too and don't hesitate to respond to these ladies' threads.

I hope you feel better soon Rosesforever and that this forum will bring you a little comfort.

    Best wishes,

    Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • Thank for your reply. I didn’t see these other posts. Not sure how I missed them as I check this website frequently. I will reach out to each of these people.

    Thanks again.
