Hello Ameliasmummy and welcome to the forum.  I - like other posters here - have no medical training but I know from reading other posters stories that it is very easy to fear the worst when such symptoms are noticed - we all do it.  The specialist is doing her/his job by making the check of a ct scan and it appears that all results are given in person - whether good or bad - as it is easier to discuss the patients feelings and worries in such a situation rather than over the phone (where you think "Bother, I should have asked this question" when the conversation has finished) or by letter where you cannot ask any questions at all.  I am sorry that this does not really help you at all but hope that you don't have to wait too long for the results.    Please don't think I am making light of your worries which are entirely rational; I hope you get some answers without having to wait too long.  Annie
