Hi Jessica,  I'm sorry to hear your news but you give us very little information  about your Dad.  If you are unsure of what stage he is at then ask him and he will have been given a dedicated Mc Millan nurse upon being given his diagnosis.  If Dad gives permission they will talk to you and give you answers to your questions, they will have his file and know what is happening.   Some Dad's don't want to worry their children so think by keeping quiet it will help.  My husband was diagnosed March 2017, he's 72 years old,  had all the treatments and is still here.   We were honest with our two daughters from day one and have never lied to them about anything.   This has helped as they understand what is happening on a weekly basis.   I hope this helps you a little,  if you know the truth, you will cope better .post again if you want more help.  Carol
