Hi there ... so sorry that you've been caught by that wicked cancer for a second time ... just when it starts to feel normal ... life is so crule ...  but it reminded me of what happened at the shops to day 

I met someone I worked with about 14 years ago ... before I left, she got breast cancer and a double mastectomy ... she had chemo and radio ... and years of tablets (not sure which one) and we lost touch ... years later , i saw her,  and she'd got the all clear ... wow ...

Two years ago l bumped into her, and she said it had come back in bones etc and it was secondary cancer .... it blew my mind ...

Then I got breast cancer last year ... grade 3 her 2 ...  and mastectomy last July ... so I'm 9 months down the line , and she was my hero ...  well today shopping ... I bumped into her ... surprise, didn't come close ... she looked so well ... we chatted about life with cancer ... she said she'd took it on once, she knew she would just do the same again ... and the last thing she said, was it's her daughter's wedding next March... and she's gonna be there (her words)  hero, she's way above a hero ... 

I'm only saying all this, coz it is doable ... you get your head round it, and get a pair of boxing gloves on .. and get back in that ring, ready to give cancer a run for its money... it's not about winning or loosing this journey ... it's about not letting cancer take away one more day then it has too ... 

There is great support on here, when you need a shoulder, or to vent ... or just chat ... so come on lass , wer all there with you ... you can do this ....  Chrissie xx

Hi Vickoopanda and Chris . Just reading your posts made me think hard. What brave people there are in the world. God bless you. I'm having Pet scan tomorrow at Stoke and beginning CHOP Chemo on Tuesday. I'm frightened and worried to bits. I'm not very brave. So good to talk on here with your lovely folks.every good wish and hugs xxx

You sound pretty brave yourself ... You know no matter how brave we sound wer still scared sometimes too ... We all have days where we have a melt down ... I've had a few myself ... But there's always someone on here to hold us up ... We support each other ... Coz we've all had them from time to time ...

You having your chemo and when it's done, you'll look back and say " how did l do that " and someone will tell you how brave you were ... And you can help someone else who's just starting out on their journey... So look in the mirror... And you say to yourself ... I'm scared to my boots, but I'm gonna do it any way ". And yes you are too ... 

So all the best for this journey your on ... When you feel scared , just remember, we're all there right with you ... TOGETHER !!   Any time you need a shoulder or to vent, or just share a thought , this is the place ...so sending you a very caring hug ... Chrissie xx
