"POWER BREATHE"

Hi to all Lung cases.

Many of us suffer breathlessness as a result of cancer operations and/or treatment or COPD.

It is 7 years since my Bi-Lobectomy operation  and I will eternally be grateful for everything the wonderful NHS has done for me.  In the past 6 months I have become more breathless when climbing stairs or walking up slopes.

I have bought a product called "POWER BREATHE"  in the hope that my chest muscles become stronger and assist my lungs.

Anyone out there tried it ?

Happy Christmas and Health Improvement for 2018

  • Hi LungHo,

I'm sorry to hear you've become more breathless when climbing the stairs or walking up slopes in the last 6 months although I'm glad to see you may have found a product that could help with this.

I couldn't find anyone on the forum that has discussed this before but there are many members that have experienced breathlessness as a side effect of their cancer treatment and hopefully some of them will pop by soon to chat.

Our cancer nurses may be able to give you more information and advice about this as well so when their lines are open again on Thursday you could give them a call. Their freephone number is 0808 800 4040 and are available between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi,

Your post intrigued me and I was bored (Boxing Day) so I went surfing for information.

This British Lung Foundation thread might help answer your questions. I love the suggestion that blowing up balloons is a cheap alternative!
