Hope, fear, help?

Hi I'm a 41 year old woman from Scotland. I have a nearly 2 year old boy and have been told I have advanced lung cancer! I'm on growth inhibitors which I believe are fairly new and would love to hear from anyone who has been on these long term with success? I've had a pretty *** time since July with seizures and secondary brain tumour which has affected my mobility. I've never had any symptoms to make me think I could have lung  cancer so to say I am shocked is an understatement! My little boy is all I can think about and he is keeping me sane but I am petrified as to how long I may have with him!

  • Hi there ... so sorry to hear your diagnosis, cancer is heartless, and it doesn't care who it effects ... my heart goes out to you, having the extra worry, of a little one ... hope you have family or friends there to help you through ... you sound one brave lady, and remember, they have come a long way in treating us now ... and you can share how you feel on here as we are all on this journey too ... all different, but all supporting and holding each others hand .. I've not had your cancer, I'm a beast lady, and hopefully someone will give you an answer soon to your question ...

There's also a free phone on here and one on mcmillan if you would like to talk to nurses too ... so sending you a big hug ... hold on in there ... chrisie xx
