  • Hi Tigercub,

I hope you get a response soon from someone with the same condition. My Mum and Grandad both had bowel cancer with liver mets, it seems to be a fairly common combination.

    Best wishes

    Dave

  • Hi

i was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer last September, emergency operation following my bowel rupturing, life support and reduced coma for a few days, in hospital for 3 weeks. So it’s a yes to the bowel cancer........just had my anniversary scan and they have found a nodule in my lung, waiting for my next scan in December to see if the nodule has changed, it’s a no to liver cancer so far.

not sure I fit your catergory but happy to talk about the bowel cancer

    thanks

  • Hi Angie thanks for your reply ooh your experience don't sound very nice at all.hipe your doing well . what are they doing for lung nodule .I also have small spot on lung but been told not worry as chemo should get it all .yes I expect bowel and liver is quite common.when I get to end 3 months chemo it's MRI to check if liver tumour shrink enough for liver resection.if not I will be upset obviously & another 3_6 month chemo then op then bowel op .doc said bowel looked like stage one .said it's long road and it won't be easy .reading on this forum don't think anyone has it easy .good luck for next scan

  • Dear tigercub I don't have cancer but am the mother of a son who had bowel and secondary liver cancer, I found information on this site but the MacMillan site has groups specifically for bowel cancer and also secondary liver cancer and you seem to get a good response on there. I wish you well . leslie
  • Hi thanks for your reply such a worry for you as a mum then I know my daughter is 37 she took news badly but is much calmer now .I have looked at McMillan site don't find it so easy to use as this one .will have practice .thanks again .
