had lumpectomy and lymph node removal(4/9 +)
CT scan and staging bone scans clear.
Oncologist wants me to have chemo to reduce risk or recurrence but I think the risk outweighs the damage chemo does.

We too have turned down chemo and we are in the states literally a 10 minute drive to one of the highest rated cancer institution in the states. We weighed this decision carefully, but our experience with friends and family that have gone through chemo vs the fact they explained it would really only buy an Xtra month or two, we turned it down. It is a hard decision but for us the right decision.
That's your choice to make. Almost always a hard choice.
My own choice was far easier as I was told I'd be dead within weeks without chemo, so the balance of risk was clear cut.
Good luck
Dave
Has the oncologist told you what the percentage chances of recurrence are, with and without chemo? This may make your decision easier.
