The good and the bad

Hi peeps

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking the excellent advice on this website I pretty much started by taking it one day at a time. This does indeed help. 

I thought to share the good and the bad and would love to hear anyone else's should they wish to share.

Today I had both a good and a bad moment. I received 2 letters in the post.

The first was from the hosp confirming my op date (my bad moment) cos my stomach dropped and I had that now familiar feeling of anxiousness take hold for a moment but shook it off cos I know it is needed. 

The good - my 2nd letter - as if... a tax rebate - boom  . Not half put a much needed smile on my face . Reckon a my treat family meal is in order.

Eeee it's the little things ain't it.

    Wedding prep is in full swing over here - July 3rd is kickoff! I’ve done my 10 years and celebrated and cried. After the last diagnosis in 2021 didn’t think I was going to make it but woo hoo!!!! Thankfully I don’t need to be put on anything else and will take that last tablet after the wedding.

    Hope you all are trying to enjoy the sunshine and taking one day at a time and to the fullest.

    We survived but doesn’t mean this body of ours isn't without complications and tough trying to live a normal life. But we’ve got this!

    Hi Jbains lovely to hear from you. How exciting a July wedding! Hope it goes well. Feeling a bit better just sharing the news on here. My husband is in a state of shock like me bless him. But whatever happens we will deal with it. One day at a time. We go on holiday 8th may to Norwegian fjords cruising for 14 nights nothing is standing in that way! X
