The good and the bad

Hi peeps

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking the excellent advice on this website I pretty much started by taking it one day at a time. This does indeed help.

I thought to share the good and the bad and would love to hear anyone else's should they wish to share.

Today I had both a good and a bad moment. I received 2 letters in the post.

The first was from the hosp confirming my op date (my bad moment) cos my stomach dropped and I had that now familiar feeling of anxiousness take hold for a moment but shook it off cos I know it is needed.

The good - my 2nd letter - as if... a tax rebate - boom  . Not half put a much needed smile on my face . Reckon a my treat family meal is in order.

Eeee it's the little things ain't it.

Take care peeps

    Hi Dizzle,

It's great to hear from you and to catch up on all of your news. Congratulations on your marriage - I hope that the wedding went well, although I expect that the pandemic didn't help there either.

I am so sorry to hear about Lillie and, hope that she continues to improve. It is so upsetting when they are unwell and cannot tell you anything. If only she could speak and tell you how she feels, it would would be so much more helpful. What an absolutely horrendous time you've had. I'm so glad to hear that you have reported this doctor. Both of my children were in hospital as babies. I know just how worried I was about having them in hospital, never mind finding the police and social work at your door - it's no wonder that you had a meltdown.

It must be difficult for you to still have these people on your case and, I sincerely hope that you are beginning to feel better now.

Thinking of you all and wishing you the strength to get through this.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

    Hi Billy,

I'm sorry to hear that your new meds are 'messing you up'. However, I hope that they are still managing to do what they're supposed to do. I hope that Brenda is keeping well.

I am now waiting for another breast  MRI, but the brain CT and bone scan were both clear, thank goodness.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi jolamine.

Yes meds are doing there job so worth keeping on them (cancer count is going down again).  Brenda is being nasty, wishing I would die and leave her alone and she wants divorce,I just leave her alone when she's like that,(only in other Room and I've a baby monitor on her). but it still hurts what she's saying,I know she can't help it But.!!!   .

Things ready Chao's for a lot of people just now.

    Love Billy xxxx

  • Oh Dizzle you have had your fair share! I'm praying everything settles down for you and that I could help in some way. I know what it's like to have to handle things on your own! But you have us on here virtually who are there rooting for you and sending lots of strength.

Dr's can be very rude and think they are right but you know they get it wrong sometimes. The arrogance is just inexcusable. I think we've all had our share of it but to accuse you of negligence is outrageous! Well I hope before too long little Lilli is all better and that's the main thing. Just take care of yourself and know that we are all here in your corner. Massive big virtual hug!!

  • So sorry to hear you are going thru a hard time Billy. Hope it all settles soon.x

    Love to you all.xx

    Hi Billy,

I'm glad to hear that the meds are working for you and, it's great to hear that your cancer count is coming down again. I can empathise with your problems with Brenda. My hubby was diagnosed with vascular dementia last year and can say some very hurtful things at times. Just remember that it's not the real Brenda who says these things, hard though this can be to accept at times.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi Billy
