The good and the bad

Hi peeps

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking the excellent advice on this website I pretty much started by taking it one day at a time. This does indeed help.

I thought to share the good and the bad and would love to hear anyone else's should they wish to share.

Today I had both a good and a bad moment. I received 2 letters in the post.

The first was from the hosp confirming my op date (my bad moment) cos my stomach dropped and I had that now familiar feeling of anxiousness take hold for a moment but shook it off cos I know it is needed.

The good - my 2nd letter - as if... a tax rebate - boom  . Not half put a much needed smile on my face . Reckon a my treat family meal is in order.

Eeee it's the little things ain't it.

Take care peeps

  • I don't really understand the reasoning behind all this. it's nice to looks at a few pics sometimes.

  • Don't worry Dizzle, we will still love Vinnie and the bump with or without photos.

If you look at some of the strings some people put on they are rather crude to say the least. And there is a chance all will be fine and photos back on soon.

    Love from your second family.

    Hi Billy,

I'm glad to hear that you now have a date for your CT scan and, that it's not that far away. I hope that Bren's bloods and urine sample are ok.

Sorry to hear about your problem with her medication. I have this problem every month. There are always at least 2 or 3 meds that are not in stock. Because I'm also on some controlled drugs, they never seem to have my prescription ready when I call for it, as the controlled drugs have to be kept in the safe until given to me. I have tried 4 different pharmacies, but one seems as bad as the other. I was hoping that, now that my prescription is sent straight from GP to pharmacy and, I cannot pick it up until it has been wth the pharmacy for 48 hours, that things might get better, but sadly this is not the case. I am still told to come back after an hour has passed and, there is usually something that is still missing.

Surely, you can get Bren's medicine delivered to your house? This might make your pharmacy step up, as they won't want to make individual deliveries for all of the items that are not in stock.

Hope that Bren is still doing well on her new medication.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi jolamine.

Brens not to bad with new meds apart from ordering, just phoned Dr they said it was on prescription so phoned chemist got told out of stock luckily always keep a few in hand, should be in tomorrow afternoon, I'll definitely phone first.

I always usto pick prescription up from Dr and check which i can't do now hence problems sometimes.

Always drop prescription off at dr with plenty of time to get sent to chemist ready for when i go shopping and pick up on the way home. Something I've done for years bit of a habit really.

Sent for a blood form from oncologist to make sure I've got it ready when i get appointment date.

    Hope you're keeping well.

    Love Billy xxx

  • Wow!!! That’s gorgeous Sandra!! You have such great talent!! Lovely

    Hi Billy,

I'm glad to hear that Bren is not too bad with new meds.

With all that you have to do these days, you might find it easier to get both of your prescriptions delivered to your door. This way you might actualy get a more complete list of meds each time.

It's good to hear that you have sent for a blood form, so that you've got it ready for your appointment date.

I'm keeping better than I have been for some time thanks.

    Kind regards,
