Hi peeps

I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking the excellent advice on this website I pretty much started by taking it one day at a time. This does indeed help. 

I thought to share the good and the bad and would love to hear anyone else's should they wish to share.

Today I had both a good and a bad moment. I received 2 letters in the post.

The first was from the hosp confirming my op date (my bad moment) cos my stomach dropped and I had that now familiar feeling of anxiousness take hold for a moment but shook it off cos I know it is needed. 

The good - my 2nd letter - as if... a tax rebate - boom  . Not half put a much needed smile on my face . Reckon a my treat family meal is in order.

Eeee it's the little things ain't it.

    Thank you Sandra, I really love the spring and feel so happy it’s arriving early....will probably snow next week lol so making the most of it :grin:

    good....eldest granddaughter’s birthday, looking forward to tea and cakes and more cakes :D

    good.....new gutters and drainpipe..... had a good rainfall this afternoon and no more noisy leaky drip on conservatory roof yay :grin: can’t believe I’m excited by a gutter :D

    bad....none except self inflicted aching after tackling pile of junk :|

    Trains were messed up today so took an extra hour to get home. Sigh.....

    lol pippin I love getting owt new. I love sitting in my conservatory. My signature position is either conservatory/garden book nd wine. Your experience will b enhanced now with a no dripping sound ;-)

    good :- well I’ll go t the foot of my stairs... the spring bulb box I planted up is still alive! This is no mean feat for me lol. Still not bloomed mind but I am more hopeful than I was ha ha.

    Ihave a new windscreen yay :D

    lil one had s perfect bday yesterday.. the lol doll cupcakes were a big hit (for those who don’t know... lol doll stuff is the thing t have at mo. Extortionately  priced, small freaky looking, over packaged tosh... but the heart wants what the heart wants... sigh. Anywhose daughter did good. Bless she had college, exam ( passed) made cupcakes, picked lil ones and friends up for soft play party, drop off at 7 pm. Lil ones t bed nd relax. She gets her energy from me ...... not ha ha.

    Cupcakes brill, Sandra. Tat always important. Kids love it.....in my experience.

    Good

    Garden room finished apart from ‘little touches’. Sat out earlier in the week. Still needed the heater on though, Now that I can see the garden, I can see the jobs that need doing, Downside....Will post pictures soon.

    Bad

    Hospital rang at 8-30 this morning to cancel hubbys pre op at 10. :-(.  I have to say neither of us were best pleased. Daughter had the day off to take him because parking is rubbish. So she’s not pleased either.  And this is supposed to be urgent. New appt next Wednesday. We’ll see!

    Hope everyone can find something good in their day.

    Oh no.... if it’s just the pre op can they not just do it at your drs. Mind I had mine done at hospital but all they did there could have been done at drs including the ecg. 

    Hope is is not feeling too unwell. ️
